That is the best one for around $100, it has a great 8 + 2 power phase and it will give a more stable and thus higher overclock than the rather low 4 + 2 from that Asrock Z77 Pro3. Biostar is a reputable brand!

That setup will then run Far Cry 3 @ high settings 1080p, guaranteed.

For $1000 get a god damn desktop PC and you'll be good with every game on 1080p/high!
Don't waste $1000 for a laptop! It just isn't worth it!
