It really deserved a sequel. Both the story and ending were perfect for a sequel. Even IO-Interactive announced a sequel. But then they just forgot about it. 😞

I really hope they'll someday remaster it.

These two matters are different. Half-Life 2 is one of most popular games of all time. But Valve wasn't interested to make anymore Half-Life games. Though there is still hope for a Half-Life 3, because it has huge demand in the community and will surely be a retail success.

This game deserved a sequel but that never happened due to the lack of popularity, although it was critically acclaimed and received positive reviews. 😞

IO-interactive did announced Freedom Fighters 2 in 2004 but they cancelled it, fearing that it might not sell well. 😞

The people who played this game know how great it is but they feel sad after seeing the lack of enthusiasm about this game. 😞

Although, I still dream about a Freedom Fighters reboot.....
