Not much long ago Outlast 2 was rejected by Australian Classification Board. But it was resubmitted, and this time it passed the classification and gained an R18+ rating, with a tag saying, "High impact horror themes, violence, blood, gore and sex".
Surprisingly, Red Barrels didn't turn down the content in the Australian version of the game. They stated, "Outlast 2 has been rated R18+ by the Classification Branch in Australia and will be released 26th April 2017. There will be only one version of Outlast 2 available worldwide."
So, then what changed the Board's mind? Maybe this time they actually played the game through and realised their mistake of ripping their people off of such a great game (I presume).
Anyway, it's a relief for our fellow gamers who live in Australia. The game will release worldwide on April 25/26, 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
