@DedicateIT 600w is enough. i hope it is good quality with the required connectors. both the cards are great for 1080p. r9 280 is a bit better. please read or view all reviews & comparisons on the net before buying. u'll have a great pc for gaming when u buy a gfx card.

#saquib_am LGA 775 Socket easily support Core 2 quad ANd a Stronger GPU Like GTX 560

And Ur are Wrong Coz TOday Games must Need 4 GB +Ram Coz It Changed That 32 Bit is Gone Now it Is Time 64 Bit Came And 64 Bit Games must Need 4 Gb +Ram Like CODE Ghost, Bf4, Watchdogs And Many More
#beholdtheghost2100 Or Change Ur Full Pc Recommend AMD Parts (it Is Cheaper)

@tomcat lga 775 socket processors no longer have support. Plus they are not easily available. And 4gb ram is enough, most games dont use a lot 2.5-3gb max that nuch ram is available if u have 4gb ram installed. and again why buy old gpu he can buy new gpu and use it in other system too if he wants to upgrade later.

@beholdtheghost2100 dont be in a rush to buy, most highly awaited games will come in after Q-2 in 2015 so you have time. i had a dual core like yours (not core 2 duo) 2.8ghz processor for a long time and it was rubbish so i waited until i had enough to buy a processor+mobo+ram+gfx card.

for 200$ you can get a gtx660/r9 270x + power supply but it may not not be worth it in your current system config because your processor is very old. so i would still suggest you to save some more and upgrade your entire system later.

any card will run in your pci-e x16 slot just not the full potential. Note that the card itself has sum specific requirements like ram, power supply etc. so check that too. Also im guessing u have old processor mobo and ram so if it were upto me i would not spend money on a card i would save and think about the whole system .

by the way what are your system specs??

guys recently there is GTX 780 with 6 GB version i hope GTX 780 Ti follows with a 6 GB version too. Also i saw a good R9 290X for only 400 Euros thats the price the normal R9 290 did cost before and this graphic card is pretty good supports Mantle and has 4 GB so its great specially if you are Battlefield fan the performance with AMD cards is great casue the yvisited the developers and improved the card specailly for the game including Mantle thats why those graphic cards support Battlefield games better than Nvidia cards on the other side Nvidia has Ge Force Experience and Shadowplay and performs good in all other games with good quality watch dogs is only one to mention, so its a personal choice what you go for.

@iGhosT
Depends on the choice. In performance GTX TitanZ is better than R9-295x2 in performance as it got more Shader Processing Units and specially it's Dynamic Memory Equalization technology is much better than R9-295x2 but in the price of 3000$ u can crossfire R9-295x2 or 3-Way SLI or Crossfire R9-290X or GTX 780Ti so in price R9-295x2 Wins. Now it's up to the buyer whether he is ''very rich'' or less rich 😜.
