@JamesBond000001
No it is not. to play all the games till now on high only a core i3 is enough. if you upgrade to core i5 or i7 only for gaming (Nothing else) then u are wasting your money. and about gpu if you are buying a whole core i7 why don't buy a core i3 or i5 and save other money for a good gpu like gtx 600 or 700 series or ati radeon 7770 and higher gpus.

@Attil-13 & Saquib_am
i only have a budget of 2500- 3000 Rs, and in this money i can only upgrade my old processoor to core 2 duo E6700 by selling the old one and adding some more money in it. Core 2 duo E6700 is the highest supported processor in my motherboard. With the money left i will replace my rams, After that in june 2014 my S.S.C result will come and i will have a gt 630 or gt 640 (Depends on my budget 😆😉 in gift for my exams 😆. So i cannot buy anything else then these three things (CPU, GPU and ram). Otherwise i was thinking of getting a PSU of 400 Watt and have a GTX 550. but my budget is not very much at this time so i cannot afford much things 😜. So what will you reccomend buying 2 rams containing 1 gb memory of 1 ram of 2 gb memory??

@saquib_am
Yeah, I agree..
DDR3 is way to cheaper then DDR2... 😜
But maybe for him this is an easier way to upgrade, or maybe he has some parts and only upgrades some others...
Couldn't really understand from what he said that he buys all of the components or has already some of them.

But as you said, I totally agree with going with DDR3.

@Attila-13 obviously he'd have to buy a new motherboard...
i only suggested that becaus hes buying everything except the motherboard.
and ddr2 ram IS more expensive than ddr3 right now. if he gets a problem in the ram he'd be in trouble trying to replace it....
i think he can get - (h61 mobo, g2020, 4gb ddr3 ram(1333 mhz)) for the same or little more money.
wat say??

@saquib_am
Don't you understand that his motherboard can only support DDR2?!
You think that I'd suggest a more expensive part and not the better cheaper part if he could use it?

@MuneebSalman1999 im from india everything is very expensive here too. but for the price of 2gb ddr2 you can get a 4gb ddr3 ram, hence it makes sense to upgrade as old parts will get expensive and hard to find as not a lot of people buy them, you can get g2020 or other proc. that supports ddr3 and pcie 2.0 and optimize your performance.

@MuneebSalman1999
If you have the money go with 8GB RAM, and max out your motherboard.
(4x 2GB modules must be DDR2, because that motherboard supports only DDR2)
If not go with 2x 2GB modules and have 4GB.
Like this you can install 64bit windows. I do recommend to go with 8GB and then you'll be good for a time RAM wise. 😀

And thanks for the comment. 😃

hahaha. I am not in america or europe like u. Dollar is very expensive in Pakistan that's why every imported thing is very expensive so i can't afford a gtx gpu or a quad core or core i3 easily 😃.

I have a HP0A58h motherboard and it supports core 2 duo e6700.
I am planning to upgrade my pc to the following
Core 2 Duo E6700 2.66 ghz
2 gb Corsair Gaming Ram 633 mhz DDR2
Evga Geforce Gt 630

Will it be a good computer for gaming?
