Maybe cause it's dual-GPU. I don't know correctly why Titan Z is more expensive than a Titan X. :-/
Maybe @tomcat3 can make this clear. Seeing that he is an hardware engineer. :D

That means GTX 980ti is not equal to a GTX Titan X, sorry.

This card is more than enough for ultra gaming on 1080p. :D A GTX 970 is enough for ultra 1080p. ;) XD This card I for higher resolutions, like 1440p; :) even 4k :D

An overclocked GTX 980ti is almost same as a GTX Titan Z, for gaming. ;)
