So, there won't be one but two Assassin's Creed games this year. But probably not the way you wanted. Ubisoft unveiled a new game in the series called "Assassin's Creed Rebellion" for smartphones and tablets. iOS and Android are the currently confirmed platforms.
Watch the reveal teaser below:
It's a strategy-RPG, the very first in the Assassin's Creed universe.
Ubisoft describes Assassin's Creed Rebellion like this: "Forge your Brotherhood and Spark the Rebellion!
Join Ezio, Aguilar, Shao Jun and other legendary Assassins in new adventures! Build your own Brotherhood and infiltrate the Templars' strongholds in the first strategy-RPG of the Assassin's Creed universe."
Sorry if you were expecting something AAA like Origins. But it isn't bad either. A series should get releases on as many platforms as possible and Ubisoft seems to know that. So, this year if you ever get bored of the mainline AC on your PC or console, you can always get more AC experience on your mobile.
