The Amazing Spider-Man games and more removed from Steam

Just a few days ago Codemasters' racing games, Grid, Dirt 3 and F1 2013 were pulled from Steam. Now Activision published superhero games, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, and TMNT: Out of The Shadows, have been removed from Steam, as well as online stores of PlayStation and Xbox. So, if you ever fancied to buy and add them to your Steam library, then you're out of luck. But if these games are already in your library, then you don't need to worry; because they're still just as playable as they were before.

There is no official word yet regarding the removal. But digital games being pulled off from stores is nothing new to the industry; it happens mainly due to license expiries. But the surprising thing here is that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is not an old enough game to have any licence expired. It was released less than a year ago. Hmm.. that's odd. We'll report back if any reason for this removal comes to light.
