@tomcat3 thanks for the quick reply. I've tried all of the compatibility troubleshooting, including running in Windows 7 and running as the admin. Completely stumped by this. It appears to just not like my machine.

I just bought this and can't get it to run. I'm assuming its a compatibility issue. I am on Windows 8.1 64 bit. Running this on an i7-4702HQ, 8 gigs ram, GT 870M, 512 SSD. Anybody running this on Windows 8 or 8.1 have tips on getting this to run. When I try to run it, it won't launch. The blue circle spins for a second then stops. In task manager it shows up for a split second and then disappears.
