GTA 6 pre-load kicks off next week

Grand Theft Auto 6 is less than three weeks away, and Rockstar Games has now revealed exactly when pre-loading begins and how much storage the game will demand.

The studio has officially confirmed that GTA 6 needs 212 GB of free space, making it one of the biggest console games ever released. With a download that size, it’s worth clearing out your drive sooner rather than later.

Digital pre-loads go live on November 10. PlayStation 5 players can start downloading at midnight local time, while Xbox Series X|S owners can begin at 1am CET (midnight UTC). Physical editions, which contain only a download code, will reach retailers from November 12.

GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. There’s still no official word on a PC version, though rumors suggest it could arrive far sooner than expected, potentially as early as the start of 2027.
