Hi guys.. im thinking of buying an 8Gb stick..1600Mhz. Now my mobo can support maximum 1333,plus i already have a 2gig stick(1333) running in one channel. Will it be okay to run the 8G stick (clocked down to 1333,9-9-9-24) in the 2nd channel ?? Will it affect my performance somehow? (8+2 seems odd)
thanks in adv😀

Doing lots of work at the same time aka Multitasking is a work for the CPU not RAM.

For Video Editing and 3D design....
I too will upgrade my RAM when the 16GB sticks will release!
I plan to get a total of 128GB of RAM then. 😀
And before you'll ask, yes, that's totally possible with an X79 Ivy Bridge-E socket 2011 mobo, which has 8 slots for RAM. 😜
Or who knows...maybe I'll get an SR-2 (Dual CPU motherboard) which has 12 RAM slots to get 192GB of RAM. 😀
The video editing and 3D design software really love the big amount of RAM. 😆

No...
If a kit comes in 16, 32GB etc...it doesn't make it extreme!
But I won't explain the whole story because it takes too much and you won't understand it anyway. 😜
@Attila-13
If you say both are same and it is a matter of liking then i will choose corsair 😃. It's name is like a monster 😆. while kingston looks like an angel 😜.
And what is extreme kits?
@MuneebSalman1999
They're equally good in their own ways.
If you're not planning to get extreme kits, which I know that you won't.... it a matter of likings and it's up to you to decide.
@hackerDON
its not for newbies, its a process of trial and error, you have serious risk of damaging your parts.
best setup will depend on your power supply quality ( not the wattage), room temparatures, other environmental conditions( like the no. of fans, room around cabinet etc).
My motherboard H81M-p33, is this Buffered Ram supports?
And what is buffered and unbuffered ram?
Hyperx is gaming ram optimsed for gaming
So gaming ram would be better for gaming so get hyperx
2x8GB Kingston ram or 4x4 HyperX ram?
thanks in adv😀
the cool thing is it auto overclocks it self no need to setup just plug it in and play!
see my post 5 below this one is has a link that tells you the difference between rams
read this information on ram in the link below

Well it is in its name!
Extreme is extreme, the highest specs possible and usually the best of the best, with a big price tag.

Which ram is better Kingston or Corsair?
What is the part you didn't understand from my previous comment to @MuneebSalman1999?
Is it so hard to read?

is overclocking good and have you overclocked any of your hardware
