Just try to leave CPU heavy settings on the lower side ex.: particle effects etc. because on the higher settings the game needs a true quad core! This is for 1080p gaming, but maybe for 720p gaming it will work with higher settings too! 😉
But with your current specs, you'll be able to easily play on medium! 😉

And to answer to your statement, yes, they confirmed the requirements, but those always can change until the games initial release and even so, those aren't always correct...for example for the new Devil May Cry for me it says that I won't be able to run it in full 1080p low settings, and I'm running it on Full 1080p ultra settings with everything maxed out and I get an average of 110 FPS and 102 minimum! 😉
