The 4850 is 30%-50% faster than the 3870 depending on what game with AA and AF turned on. The 4850 kills the 3870.
You can see on this test, that the 3870 is weaker than the 4850...

Just the processor...for the recommended you need a processor with 4 cores, but GTA 4 requires it too & it runs on my dual-core processor as well 😃
