both the GPU have nearly the same cost both run different games in different frames per second but the GTX is outpowering the AMD card in most cases so i would say you to go with the GTX one here see the comparision yourself

As for your question, it's very hard to answer because laptop and desktop GPU's are very different and have different architecture, but to answer I'll say that a GT 440 from nVidia and an ATI 5570!

Just like your GPU, these two will run most games in the lower side with the graphics, but they'll run it! 😀

Yes, that is correct! 😀
That is due to Hyper Threading and that is the reason that it's showing like your CPU is having 4 cores!
Your 3210M in fact it's a dual core that has 4 threads!
Hyper threading means that your CPU has double the threads compared to cores, and OS's recognize it if it'd have 4 cores!
Hyper threading is a good technology but it isn't giving as good performances as a true Quad Core CPU! It's true that it gives a boost to the existing number of cores, but it isn't so great and that is the reason that it's incorrect to call a Quad Core i7 with Hyper Threading an Octa Core CPU! 😀 😉

But I'm talking about single CPU motherboards...
What I meant was, that there isn't an octa core i7 (yet)!

And you're right about 12core ones....
But there are out there multi CPU motherboards that can support more than 2 CPU's
In big businesses there are PC's that have 24,48 and even 64 cores!

your right no 8 core i7 but if you have a dual cpu motherboard you can have 8 cores or even 12 cores
cpu's need to be identical and compatable though look on some custom pc builders websites
