Life is Strange has really breathtaking story, you all should try that. Considering Steam reviews, the "game" changed a lot of people's lives, point of view, perspective and the way of their thinking.

as far as story quality, both Assassin's Creed and Far Cry are really good series for story.................... but the Fallout series is the best story in my opinion, as all the games involve elements of the others and are intertwined in some way............... such as Elder Maxson as a child in Fallout 3 compared to him being the leader of the BOS in Fallout 4

The Elder Scrolls is also a good mention, and specifically the Ezio/Desmond series in AC
