@WarLORD yeah Rise of The Tomb Raider is an exception to that 4 core use. 😞 But most games doesn't need more than 4 cores at ultra, that's what I know. 😀

@TitanBlack you're welcome! 😉 Your future PC is getting better and better. 😃

Many site's benchmarks shows i5-4690k (which is also quad core) is enough for ultra gaming with a card like GTX 970 or R9 390. I've read that all games these days are optimized for 4 cores. So if this game doesn't break that legacy I expect his CPU should not be a problem. 😀

@TitanBlack I think it'll enough for ultra at 1080p. 😀
Your CPU is not a bottleneck, and no games really need more than 8GB RAM. Though it says 16GB, I think 8GB should be able to ultra it.

Yeah Quantum Break will not come to Steam. 😞
Microsoft is doing whatever it can to flop this game. 😞 First Windows 10-only, now no Steam. 😞 Who knows what next. 😠

GTX 970 might ultra this, 😀 but not a GTX 960 4GB. 😞

I think one can ultra this game at lower resolutions with 4GB VRAM but not with 60 FPS. 😀
It'll depend on the optimization.

This game is taking many good features from many great games. It's sci-fi (Half-Life), time travelling & controlling (Prince of Persia), deep atmosphere (which is Remedy Entertainment's speciality, like Max Payne 1,2 Alan Wake), fluid and fast paced third person shooting (GTA V), complex but good story (Max Payne, Prince of Persia sands of time trilogy).
So this game could be really good. 😃 'Windows 10-only' is the only drawback currently. 😞 Remember they are good in optimizing games also. 😀

A GTX 960 will be able to max this game at 720p only if it's very well optimized. 😉 😀
Hope it is. 😀

Yeah this game's publisher is Microsoft studios, so they are trying to promote their latest OS. It's actually kinda forcing us to use what they wants us to use.
It's not a good way to promote their product, as @Faraz_345 said. 😞

If GTX 760 & R7 260x cards anyhow supports DX 12, then these requirements are legit.
It's the first DX 12-only game.

@warlord

Actually Both R7 260x and GTX 760 support DirectX 12. Just need to update the drivers. You can check it on google.

If it's DX 12-only, then minimum GPU must be at least GTX 900 series card or equivalent AMD card.

Popularity moved from 1000# to 10#! 😲 😆 Maybe the fastest ever! 😆

I'm also not interested if upgrading to Windows 10 is a must.
I'll play this when all the games need Windows 10. Then I'll upgrade to Windows 10. 😉
Ofcourse, if there's no better version of Windows is available at that time. 😉

They say DX 12 is minimum. And for the GPU they say GTX 760 and R7 260x as a minimum but both of them don't support DX 12. So it's fake. 😉

@WarLORD hey you're right these are fake requirements. GTX 760 and R7 260x don't support DX12, so it's definitely fake. 😂

Yeah, requirements don't seem legit to me. I think Microsoft did this on purpose. First of all, they don't even like releasing their exclusive titles on PC, and then even if they do, they always mess up like this.
Will play it on my Xbox One, don't want to install Windows 10 for Microsoft conspiracy.
This is how they always treat us PC gamers, games are so much optimized for consoles even if their GPUs are shit. PC has too much optimization shits. Ubisoft is a great example of that, see AC Unity for example. That's why, I hate Microsoft and I'm not going to support them on this one. They're acting as if they're doing a huge favor on us by porting this game to PC. Any decent game shouldn't have such insane requirements. The purpose of making a game is to let the community enjoy it. If you make requirements like these, I bet that 90% gamers won't be able to enjoy the game. Don't understand why Microsoft does this.
Requirements seem high indeed, but I'm good to go since I just ordered my Gigabyte Extreme Gaming GTX 980Ti today, pairing it with Core i7 6700k and 16GB DDR4 3200 Mhz Corsair Vengeance would be enough to play this game on ultra settings. But, I'd still prefer to play on Xbox One since I don't want to install Windows 10 since I dislike it very much. Hate Microsoft for trying to promote their windows like this.

Here comes the DX12 era. And this game has the biggest requirements yet. With GTX 980ti or R9 Fury X as the recommended. 😲
Welcome to the NEXT generation. 😀
