These days it’s easier to cross-check with benchmarks, but back then it was mostly trial, error, and forum opinions. I’ve noticed similar pattern-driven discussions in other communities too—fans breaking down systems, stats, and performance in detail. Even something like [LINK] scratches a similar itch, just in a completely different domain of tracking and comparing data.
Now I only play games. 😆
