It's still weak for current day games. Both Gt 740m & 4GB RAM isn't suitable for upcoming games. 😞

even if you buy 6gb ram for more vram you're not going to get any performance boost as i said it's not just about how much vram you have for example nvidia gt 610 has 2gb vram but it's pretty weak gpu for modern games so the only thing you can do is buying a now laptop!

So what can I do? (except buying a new card because what i have is a laptop)will buying a 6gb ram boost the card because if the memory is shared through RAM i think the card will have more memory?am i right or there is another way of boosting it?

even if you have 4GB Video memory it will lag the Integrated Graphics is weak it's not just about VRAM the fact is that your gpu has only 64 mb or maybe 128 mb Vram and the rest of VRAM 're shared from RAM but still weak you have less texture fill rate less pixel fill rate and other here for example

but i have nba 2k14 it has a 128 mb video( and as you guys said i have a 1 GB video memory) requirement i met the processor requirement and the ram requirement and i have shader model 3.0 my card is compatible with direct x 9 and still....IT LAGS LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW(btw thanks for answering my questions)
