A 1GB card can do it as well. My GTX560 SC 1GB could do it without any problems.
It's not about the memory amount, it's about the quality of it.

why does this game need so much graphic Ram i can play on High and on the most cards more Ram will mean your graphic card is slower cause graphic cards with more Ram have usually a lower clock
