I have been looking at upgrading my existing video card. My budget is around $350, so I was looking at a 1660 Ti. I have had a few people recommend a 5700 instead. Looking at prices it seems like the 1660 Ti is around $350-400, while the 5700 seems to be closer to $500-$550. I know they are fairly new and currently seem to be in a high demand. I was just wondering if that price is currently a bit inflated, or if that's sort of the price different to expect between the two cards?
When I have seen people suggesting the 5700 instead of the 1660 Ti, the impression I got is the prices should be in the same ballpark with much greater performance with the 5700. A $100-$200 difference seems like a lot to me, but I guess if people were looking at the overall cost of whole PC maybe it isn't to them.
@KydThe16th: I agree it's kinda scary especially for the people who don't upgrade their gpu's every 2 years like us 😆 when a new GPU series comes out that makes our cards more outdated and any newer games or drivers will be optimized for the newer cards!
How long you think 1060 6GB (LAPTOP) and 1050 4GB (LAPTOP) can run games on these settings?
I consider 25 FPS playable. 😢
1080p
All textures and texture related on ultra (almost 30 percents of settings)
Unimportant stuffs for me like shadows and lights on low.
Things like that hair technology on medium.
Others on High.
And no motion blur I hate it.
Cheaper never be better and better never be cheaper...
For gaming atleast u should hav a gtx 1050Ti or equal And graphic card as they are cheap as compare to nvidia
AMD A10-7860K Godavari Quad-Core
Kingston HyperX FURY DDR3 1866MHz 8GB (2x4GB) Memory
Radeon R7 series Integrated Graphics
Hi Guys i was planning buying this computer set.can this run modern games
thanks
@dilshara: It won't bottleneck at all............. one of my rigs run a FX-8350 4.0GHz with a GTX 1050 ti, depending on how much RAM you are running it (RAM) could possibly bottleneck................ once upon a time, 8 GB was enough for anything but now I recommend 16 on any build
@hamza5433: Not a chance, the R7 260x is still MUCH better than the new RX 550............. better lighting detail and quality, better texture detail, and a better clock speed................... the only good side of the RX 550 is its price, can't complain about a GPU that costs $80 compared to $120-$130 for the R7 260x
The RX 550 is newer indeed, but the R7 260x would still wipe the floor with it head to head
@Lumpen: Lol 😂 Stronger, better and faster? How can you compare AMD with Nvidia without any products. Atleast take two examples like GTX 750 Ti and R7 260X
Hi guys i have a question what is my GPU's equivalent?I think it is Intel HD 2500 i could be wrong but i need the right answer......I have an INTEL PENTIUM N3540 processor thanks in advance
@Toceto, definitely save for the ti even though the performance jump isnt insanely high or anything............... one of my rigs runs a 1050ti and it can handle almost anything at high settings............. both mine and my wifes computers had 1050 TIs in them, but I was unhappy and went with twin RX 480s and a bigger PSU.............. Im all about the graphics, if it werent about the graphics then I'd just play on console
definitely wait for the 1050 ti............. it's only about $30 more than the standard 1050 but with twice the video RAM, i think I paid about $130 each for our PCs. About 4 months after purchase, I went and paid about $360 each for 2 MSI RX 480s
skip it.. its way to overkill.. next time they probably make another gpu with more power and less money..
i dont really know what nvidia thinking right now..(-_-)
It's not good for gaming. But you can still play new games with it (on lower setting & resolutions), provided your laptop has suitable processor and RAM.
guys, i need your opinion about gpu. i have 3 gpu brands in mind, and i cant decide. so, i need some input from you.
1. MSI gtx1070 Duke
2. Galaxy 1070 HOF
3. zotac 1070 AMP
i really like the msi, but its too steep (price), and i never heard of zotac before, and galaxy, my friend used galaxy before, and he didnt like, well he didnt say why. pls help
Yes it is good enough to handle any game to date. It can run most latest games in med settings at 1080p with an average frame-rate of 30, if paired with enough RAM and suitable processor. You can find benchmarks here,

Thanks for the help.
Now i will get the GTX 1060 6GB
For sure 6GB is way better than 3
and its also not only better card through VRAM it has also has more CUDA Cores
i think this is more future proof than the other card

I'm not fan or something it's just stronger, better and faster

secara adanya yang R7 240 DDR3 bukan yang R7 240 GDDR5 OC beda
R7 240 DDR3 2GB AXR7 240 2GBK3-HV2E/OC VS AXR7 240 1GBD5-HV3E/OC
GPU Clock 730 vs 880 MHz
Memory 800MHz x2 Vs 1150Mhz
Video Memory 2GB DDR3 vs 1GB GDDR5
i dont really know what nvidia thinking right now..(-_-)
rx 460
I have it on my laptop, but did not tried to play newer games like gta5 or the witcher 3.
